Allegations and Protests Prompt Letter to State Attorney General

Rochester City Council Demands Probe into Conduct

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley, elected in 2011 as the first female DA in the county's history, is facing a series of investigations and protests over her conduct.

The entire Rochester City Council has sent a letter to State Attorney General Letitia Tish, requesting an investigation into Doorley's behavior. Additionally, Save Rochester and other community leaders and members held a rally outside Doorley's office to express their concerns.

Specifically, Doorley has been accused of speeding by going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone on April 22. The Monroe County District Attorney's Office has faced criticism for allegedly failing to adequately address the allegations of misconduct.
