Political Philosophy

Historically, Democrats have been associated with big government initiatives. From 1933 to 1952, they held the presidency and controlled Congress, implementing major social programs during the New Deal era.

Today, about three-quarters of strong Republicans and strong Democrats believe that the parties hold significantly different views.
