Soccer Opens Texas Weekend Slate at TCU Thursday
TCU to host Soccer, McNeese
Match Set for 8 p.m. ET
Soccer opens a Texas two-step this week, traveling to Fort Worth, Texas, for a Thursday night tilt at TCU. The Horned Frogs are receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches poll and are coming off a 2-1 overtime win over SMU last weekend.
The match is set for an 8 p.m. ET first kick at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium and will be streamed on ESPN+.
Soccer is 2-0-1 on the season after a 2-0 win over Lamar on Sunday at the Mean Green Soccer Stadium.
TCU is led by fifth-year head coach Eric Bell, who has compiled a 46-25-13 record in his four-plus seasons in Fort Worth.
The Horned Frogs return eight starters and 15 letterwinners from a team that went 9-5-4 last season and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
TCU is led by sophomore forward Messiah Bright, who has two goals and an assist in three matches this season.
Soccer will look to continue its strong start to the season against a tough TCU team.
